Like most people, I wanted a healthy pregnancy and birth experience. I discovered my everyday products were harmful to my body and my unborn baby. I started educating myself on nutrient dense foods, better water, and how we could have a healthier lifestyle in general when I found essential oils. I was overwhelmed at how to replace the things in our home, but I made a friend. She came alongside me and helped me decide what to get for the changes I wanted to make. Best of all, she helped me plan out purchases for my budget. Years later I am still experiencing the awesomeness of this company and all the products. I would love to be that friend for you.
I look forward to helping you find solutions to support your wellness journey! Are you ready?
Wake Up: Use Thieves toothpaste to gently remove stains, polish, and brighten our teeth with a peppermint/spearmint combination with assurance of no fluoride, synthetic dyes, or preservatives. We also use Thieves mouthwash, dental floss, and hand soap.
Breakfast: Drink some NingXia Red with our healthy breakfast for an antioxidant booster with a great taste!
Get Dressed: Add oils to our feet, wrists, under our nose, back of our necks (see a reference guide for more specific information on the best place to put your oils and the best oils to use to combat what you what to accomplish.) We use oils to support our immune system, manage emotions, maintain focus, and keeping in balance. Ladies, add a little rub of Progessence Plus in the morning to maintain hormone balance.
Oil Jewelry: Use an oil necklace or bracelet (that oils are added in/on) to wear on your body throughout the day to provide continuous oil application on your wrist or “diffused” around your neck. Choose oils to balance your emotions or combat a struggling area. Grounding is my favorite.
MIDDLE of the DAY
I carry oils in my purse and never leave home without a little set! I use them if we are going someone like the public library to boost immunity (thieves) and for skin issues like cuts, scraps, or burns. (lavender)
If we are home in the middle of the day, we diffuse Peace and Calming, Joy, or Stress Away for feelings of relaxation, clean our home with confidence with Thieves Household Cleaner, and apply oils for concentration while I work and my children do schoolwork.
Take a nice bath with epsom salts and oils such as lavender, rosemary, and/or peppermint for relaxation.
We add some oils into our coconut oil mixture for a homemade chemical-free lotion. We also use Frankincense for supporting natural skin health, PanAway or Deep Relief Roll-on for supporting tired muscles.
End the night by diffusing Peace and Calming, Joy, or Stress Away for relaxation or Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint for help maintaining seasonal discomforts. You can also use Rutavala roll-on for an easy application. We also rub Thieves on the bottoms of our feet every night before bed.
That’s right! The thing I thought was the worst thing about Young Living is actually the best part about the company!
When I first heard about Young Living, I was SO happy to find a company that not only made essential oils, but also the whole shebang! I needed an easy way to get nontoxic household cleaners, face and body care and anything else to replace crap in my house! But, then I found out it was expensive just to go online and order. I had to pay retail prices if I didn’t sign up by buying a kit! I didn’t want to commit to that. Stubborn, I know. So, I tried doing it my own way. I searched and search for local places and even online for the products I needed. Over and over the companies didn’t have sustainable practices or the ingredients were’t good enough for my family! Finally, I decided to give Young Living a try. I was loyal to the company for a year and exactly a year later when I cashed in all the points I had earned in a year, I decided that I HAD to have more! So, I decided to do the business. And this is what I’m talking about…
I steered away from the MLM/direct marketing/”pyramid schemes” type of business all my life and I didn’t want to commit to Young Living because I was mad because of the way their business was structured. After all my excuses, I decided to look into it more. Turns out,
What I thought was the worst thing about the company is actually the BEST!
That’s right. I am SO grateful now for all of YL’s abundance! The mission is abundance, wellness, and purpose and I need all of that in my life! Here are some disheartening things I used to believe about MLM’s and how YL isn’t really like that.
-We have the best products ever! Well yes, I think we do! lol I’m sure there are TONS of awesome companies that make safe and awesome essential oils, but then you need to find somewhere to get your toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo household cleaner and everything else. at an affordable price (essential rewards) thats not only safer but GOOD for you!
-We have an awesome compensation plan! Its better than the rest! I don’t really know that because I don’t look into many MLM’s but I do know that I have been able to easily make a paycheck to replace what I was buying. I’m sure it won’t continue to be this easy, but man I’ve already received 4 free oils last year, and I got a ton of points to get more stuff. I’m happy with it. (ALSO, I know people personally who have made a TON of money by continuously using and sharing. So, If I don’t stop, I’ll get there too, right?)
-Our leadership team is unbeatable! Im sure there are lots of awesome leadership teams in companies. and we DO have an AWESOME team! Team Young Living is kind, helpful, caring, and just great. They are informative, knowledgable, and easy to talk to regardless of how “high” up they are.
-Direct Marketing/Oils are for women. HA! This makes me laugh because my husband also likes to use Young Living to live chemical free! AND the company was started by a man! (and his wife.)
-We are not a typically direct sales company, I don’t feel like. We are structured the same, but we do not ask people to “host parties” for us. There is not “special deal” if your party reaches a certain amount of sales. Typically, we don’t carry inventory to sale.
-I have to buy something before I can start my job. Yep! You have to buy a kit upfront so you can start using the products. You can’t sell something you don’t love. BUT once you buy your kit, you don’t have to do anything else to “make it a business” but share the oils with others. When they buy their kit, with your member number, you get paid! (If you place a $100 monthly order-but you will anyway if you love (and use) the products as much as everyone does!)
“I don’t want my friends to be my customers.” Yep. me either. The bottom line is, Young Living is something that everyone needs. I want to share with my friends how I’ve been able to make money and replace everything in my home with safer products. I’m not “selling” anything. I’m sharing what works for me, giving them a chance for education on toxic chemicals, and offering a chance for them to earn their stuff for free too if they are interested. If not, no harm here, move on. I don’t expect everyone I know to do this same business. But I do expect them to know better about crap like SLS in their dish washing liquid and do something about it. (It kills fish and that makes me mad.)
At age 19, I became a licensed nail tech. I left the business because I realized the harmful in inhaling those chemicals over a period of time and the affects it could have on my children when I became pregnant. I stopped using nail polish all together. I didn’t wear make up much and I definitely didn’t wear lipstick! (have you researched those chemicals you end up eating?!) BUT! I no long have to do without because YL carries make up now! I’m SO excited to have a make up that is not only “clean” but also GOOD for your skin! Let me tell you, how could I NOT preach about such a wonderful product and great company? Having others buy their kit and get started on this journey alongside me (and getting a pack check from it) is just an awesome bonus! (maybe they will start carrying nail polish soon!)
Doing this business has given me friendships! Its made me a better person; made me more aware of others, outgoing, and relationship focused!
Some people think I’m crazy because I care so much about my body and Mother Earth. Some call me a Hippie. Hey! If thats the label I get for caring, I’ll take it! I care about my health. I care about my families health! I care about my environment. I care about saving animals by not polluting, reducing, recycling, and reusing and the rainforests by not using palm oil etc. I care about saving energy and water. I care about giving all humans a great qualify of life with access to medical care and wholesome nutrition.
Young Living is helping me be the change I want to see in others.
